Organizational Carbon Footprint

Itecons quantifies the Carbon Footprint of Organisations based on the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1 standards.

An organisation's Carbon Footprint quantifies the total amount of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) that result directly and indirectly from an organisation's activities (scopes 1, 2 and 3). Quantifying the Carbon Footprint makes it possible to:

  • Identify priority areas for intervention and measures to reduce GHG emissions, to establish and implement an emission reduction plan;
  • Reduce costs by cutting energy and raw material consumption;
  • Obtain a Carbon Footprint certificate or label, demonstrating the company's commitment to tackling climate change and reinforcing its position with stakeholders;
  • Define a decarbonisation strategy, supported by data, information and objective indicators;
  • Comply with legislative and regulatory requirements and prepare the organisation for compliance with future carbon reporting requirements;
  • Respond to requests from customers, shareholders and markets;
  • Influence the value chain, establishing purchasing, selection and evaluation requirements that lead suppliers to meet decarbonisation objectives.
